Her birthplace is Minsk in Belarus. Sergey Her father (who died in 2019), was an ice-hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born Minsk, Belarus on May 5th of 1998. Her twelve WTA singles titles include one Grand Slam, the 2023 Australian Open. When it comes to doubles, she's an excellent player. She's been a winner of two majors along with Elise Mertens. They won her US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. She also achieved an incredible Sunshine Double in 2019, winning her the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open alongside Elise Mertens. Women's doubles only had four teams achieve this feat. She rose from second to third place in the World Singles Rankings at the end of August on the 23rd, 2021. Her highest rank was again achieved in January of 2023. After winning the Melbourne doubles competition in February 2021, she was able rise up the rankings and take over the top spot in that specialty. Dmitry Tursunov was her coach from 2018, until the end of her season in 2019. She also worked with him for a short time at the start of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann was briefly with her from August to September 2020. Antonio Dubrov is her coach as of at the beginning of 2020. Serena Williams & Maria Sharapova are her main inspirations.
